The Story of Syrenka
I’m an artist, muralist, and educator from Florida whose creative path began in childhood and evolved into a career in visual arts education. Since 2011, I’ve worked internationally, building a life around art, education, and travel. My journey eventually brought me to Warsaw, Poland, where I came across the city’s emblem — a fierce, sword-wielding mermaid. I’ve loved them since I was young, so arriving in a city where they seem to appear on every corner felt a bit like fate. For many reasons, the connection stuck, and the Polish word for mermaid, syrenka, became the name of my studio. I’ve lived and worked in Quito, Ecuador; Caracas, Venezuela; Warsaw, Poland; Accra, Ghana; and currently live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Creative Possibilities
What sets my work apart is the heart I bring to both the creative process and the people involved. With a background in education and years of experience as a teaching artist, I’ve fine tuned the ability to connect with people of all ages, whether I’m working with young students, teens, or adults. I’m comfortable managing large-scale projects with lots of moving parts, and I know how to make space for everyone’s voice while ensuring the finished piece is cohesive, meaningful, and polished to a professional standard.
Collaboration, clear communication, and thoughtful planning are at the core of how I work. No matter the scale, whether it’s a group project or an individual commission, you can expect a thoughtful, well managed process where creativity and collaboration go hand in hand.
Off The Wall | Murals
From bold exterior walls to detailed indoor features, I create custom murals that reflect your space and story. Whether you're a school, business, or public space, each piece is designed to leave a lasting visual impact.
In The Studio | Artworks
In the studio, I create paint, illustrate, and create mixed media prints inspired by nature, personal stories, and the places I’ve lived. I take commissions if you're looking for a custom piece.
At The Workshops | Projects
I work with schools and organizations to lead hands on art projects, often big, installations or collaborative murals. These workshops are a chance for students or community members to get creative together and help shape a finished piece that everyone can be proud of.
